Job summary

True Anomaly is seeking a Principal Embedded Systems Security Engineer to own the security of spacecraft, radio systems, and hardware platforms. You will lead the design of security platforms and PKI, work across C++ flight software, embedded firmware, FPGA, and real-time operating systems, and collaborate with hardware and test teams to harden embedded systems at scale.

Qualifications

• Experience in embedded, hardware, and firmware security including hardware attack surfaces, side-channel and fault-injection attacks.
• Strong software development skills in C and C++, data structures, algorithms, APIs, and debugging production systems.
• Deep PKI knowledge with PKI for embedded/resource-constrained systems, device authentication, firmware signing, secure boot, and key storage.

Responsibilities

• Own the security architecture, threat modeling, and defensive controls for the spacecraft platform across flight computer, firmware, FPGA, and cryptographic implementations.
• Architect and build security platforms, tooling, and services to standardize secure-by-default practices.
• Design and implement PKI for constrained spacecraft devices, including firmware signing and secure key storage.
• Lead security assessments and drive hardening initiatives across hardware, firmware, and software teams.
