Job summary

True Anomaly seeks a Principal Embedded Systems Security Engineer to own the security of spacecraft, radio systems, and hardware platforms. You will build security platforms and tools that enable hardware and software teams to ship secure embedded systems by default.

This hands-on leadership role requires deep hardware security expertise, C/C++ flight software, embedded firmware, FPGA and RTOS work, and the use of AI to accelerate security validation and tooling.

Qualifications

• Deep hands-on expertise in embedded, hardware, and firmware security.
• Strong C/C++ development skills and low-level programming.
• Experience building security platforms and PKI for embedded systems.

Responsibilities

• Own security architecture, threat modeling, and defensive controls for spacecraft.
• Design and implement PKI for resource-constrained devices.
• Secure flight software build and deployment pipelines.
• Lead security assessments and pentesting of RF systems.
• Drive secure design practices across software, hardware, and tests.
