Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems seeks a Principal Software Engineer - Embedded and Real Time for on-site roles in Oklahoma City, OK or Melbourne, FL. Relocation and 25% travel may be available. Clearance required: Secret.

You will design, develop, integrate, and maintain embedded mission systems using OO C++, Python, and RTOS, participating in the full SDLC and collaborating in Agile Scrum teams to deliver multiple baselines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with 5 years of related experience, or higher degrees with less experience.
• Experience with C, C++, and Python for safety-critical applications.
• Familiar with RTOS such as VxWorks, Integrity, or RT Embedded Linux.
• Familiar with static & dynamic code analysis tools and fuzzing tools (Coverity, Fortify, SonarQube).
• Familiar with CI/CD tools (Jira, GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins).
• Active DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance or ability to obtain PAR.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate, modify, and maintain embedded mission systems software.
• Participate in full software development lifecycle: requirements, design, testing, release and maintenance.
• Architect and develop embedded software on a real-time operating system.
• Collaborate in Agile Scrum teams across multiple software baselines.
