Job summary

RTX in Marlborough is seeking a Principal Embedded Software Engineer to sustain legacy radar systems, troubleshoot, and patch deployed software while transitioning to modern Linux environments.

You will work on VxWorks and Linux/Unix, porting legacy code, supporting integration and verification, and you will join a 1st shift, onsite team focused on radar hardware, with opportunities to advance and relocate if eligible.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
• Embedded C/C++ and/or Ada software development experience.
• Experience developing on VxWorks and Linux/Unix platforms.

Responsibilities

• Support sustainment of legacy radar systems, to involve troubleshooting, maintenance, and patching.
• Port legacy Unix and VxWorks software to modern Linux systems or identify replacements.
• Support software integration, testing, and verification.
• This 1st shift role will be 100% onsite and based in Marlborough, MA.
