Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Melbourne, FL is seeking a Principal Electro-Mechanical Design Engineer (Level 3) to join our Vehicle Engineering team. You will write test procedures and support mechanical and electrical design for avionics and wiring integration.

You will collaborate with multiple disciplines to deliver integrated solutions, design sheet metal and enclosures, and contribute to ongoing programs while maintaining rigorous engineering standards.

Qualifications

• BS in a STEM field with 5+ years of related experience.
• MS with 3+ years or PhD with 1+ year experience.
• Ability to obtain US Secret clearance.
• Experience writing test procedures.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Write test procedures and manuals for avionics and electrical systems.
• Support wiring team; route cables and harnesses in 3D per NG standards.
• Design electronics packaging, enclosures, panels and installations.
• Collaborate with cross‑disciplinary teams to solve problems.
