Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is hiring a Principal or Sr Principal Flight Avionics Engineer in Melbourne, FL. You will lead integration of cockpit systems, drive trade studies, and ensure safety and certification documents are prepared.

A strong focus on leadership and cross‑functional collaboration is required to support prime mission equipment installations and supplier coordination. The role demands strong STEM credentials, experience with avionics, and the ability to obtain/maintain

Qualifications

• Must have STEM degree with experience per level; clearance requirements apply.
• Experience in avionics systems and safety documentation desired.
• Ability to manage suppliers and test activities.

Responsibilities

• Integrate cockpit systems (FMC, PFDs, CDUs, NAV/ Guidance, PNT).
• Develop and document designs with schematics and specs.
• Support verification, certification, and safety documents.
• Lead technical interactions with partners and suppliers.
