Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design for water and wastewater facilities in the Northeast, with White Plains, NY as a preferred location. This senior role focuses on guiding project delivery, mentoring engineers, and expanding Arcadis’ Water business across North America.

You will be the primary client contact for electrical engineering, drive design excellence, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative, sustainable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 15 years of progressive electrical engineering experience in water/wastewater facilities.
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) license.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design for municipal and industrial water/wastewater facilities including treatment plants and pump stations.
• Provide technical leadership and act as a trusted client advisor on electrical matters.
• Develop and review deliverables: power distribution, one-line diagrams, control schematics, specs, and docs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to manage scope, budget, schedule, quality, and risk.
• Support construction through field investigations, submittal reviews, and RFIs.
• Mentor staff and support client development and growth initiatives.
