Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in San Diego, CA is seeking a Principal/Sr Principal Electrical Engineer to own the full lifecycle of circuit design for high-technology programs. You will perform detailed circuit design, analysis, schematic capture, and PCB layout, building libraries and testable prototypes.

This role offers growth into automated test equipment and qualification activities. Ideal candidates have a STEM degree with applicable years of experience and can pursue a U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in STEM with 5+ years eng exp, OR Masters with 3+, OR PhD with 1+ year.
• Sr Principal: Bachelors with 8+, Masters with 6+, or PhD with 4+ years.
• Ability to obtain/maintain US Government Secret clearance.
• Experience with OrCAD, Pspice, or LTspice for circuit simulation.
• Schematic capture & PCB layout using Xpedition, Altium, or Mentor.

Responsibilities

• Own full lifecycle for circuits development for the program enterprise.
• Perform detailed circuit design and analysis.
• Create schematics, build component libraries, layout PCBs.
• Build and test prototype hardware and support manufacturing.
• Design automated test equipment and scripts; support qualification.
