Job summary

Raytheon is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer in Andover, MA to lead root-cause analysis on multi-platform automated test equipment (ATE) across RF, digital, and AC/DC systems. You will mentor junior engineers and identify hardware upgrades to reduce downtime.

The role requires the ability to operate with minimal supervision on complex test platforms, interpret schematics, and document repairs to improve uptime. Active DoD Secret clearance is expected.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and a minimum 8 years of prior relevant experience.
• 5+ years of test equipment design or troubleshoot experience in RF.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead root-cause analysis on complex, multi-platform automated test equipment (ATE) down to the component level across RF, digital, and AC/DC platforms.
• Mentor engineers and technicians on advanced RF, digital and power diagnostic techniques.
• Identify hardware retrofits and engineering changes to resolve test equipment obsolescence and performance issues.
• Work with minimal supervision while maintaining test platforms to minimize station downtime.
• Interpret schematic drawings to aid troubleshooting of test stations and equipment.
• Document fault logs and generate repair documentation to minimize future troubleshoot efforts improving station uptime.
