Job summary

RTX is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer for 100% onsite work in Tewksbury/Andover, MA. Candidates must be U.S. citizens or eligible for a U.S. government security clearance and must hold or obtain a Secret clearance before start date.

The role involves designing, developing, and integrating test equipment, production test stations, ITAs, and harnesses within multidisciplinary teams. Strong experience in electrical design, schematic analysis, and COTS test equipment is required.

Qualifications

Job description

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and integrate Raytheon test equipment capabilities in multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Design production test stations, interface test adapters (ITAs), and harnesses.
• Create technical drawings, schematics, and perform circuit design and analysis.
• Select, automate, and integrate test instrumentation for factory production and military depot environments.
• Participate in all stages of the product development lifecycle, managing technical, cost, and schedule aspects.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues throughout the design, development, and integration process.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with at least eight (8) years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with five (5) years of relevant experience.
• Experience in electrical engineering, including troubleshooting, analysis, and testing.
• Proficiency with electrical design and schematic analysis tools such as Altium, DX Designer, Mentor Graphics, or Creo Schematic.
• Experience with COTS test equipment (oscilloscopes, DMMs, network analyzers, power meters).

Preferred

• Experience supporting project planning, proposals, technical issue resolution, and mentoring early-career staff.
• Knowledge of RTX projects, programs, or systems for enhancements and daily work integration.
• Programming experience and ability to integrate digital, mixed-signal, and electrical system interconnects.
• Experience performing analog, digital, and/or RF design.
