Job summary

Vantage Data Centers seeks a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead the design and engineering of state-of-the-art data centers, guiding the electrical design from concept through commissioning. You will work with construction, automation, and sales teams to ensure scalable, cost-effective, and reliable solutions.

The role requires a PE license, 10+ years in design/construction, and deep knowledge of critical electrical and cooling infrastructure, with travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Professional Engineering license in any US state.
• 10 years of experience in design and construction; 15+ preferred.
• Data center design/construction experience required.
• Familiarity with NEC, NERC, IEEE, NFPA and local codes.
• NA construction market experience required.

Responsibilities

• Lead Electrical Design review for deployment of new Data Centers; ensure standards compliance.
• Manage large/complex projects with limited oversight from conception to commissioning.
• Provide leadership for electrical design consultants and contractors; meet milestones within budget.
• Coordinate with internal teams to deliver products meeting customer requirements and ROI considerations.
• Mentor junior engineers and support management in technical strategy and standards.
• Assist site operations in troubleshooting and tuning existing systems to optimize performance.
