Job summary

Vantage Data Centers is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to own all aspects of electrical engineering for new age data center designs across multiple locations in the United States. The role can be based on-site at designated offices (Denver, Ashburn, Sterling, Santa Clara) or remotely under a flexible work policy.

You will drive standards, reference designs, and governance ensuring consistency while allowing regional variations as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university
• 10+ years experience in electrical power design and construction
• Data Center and/or mission critical experience is required
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Excel, Word, AmpCalc, ETAP, and PSCAD
• Willing to travel 15-25%

Responsibilities

• Lead integration of energy storage into data center electrical infrastructure
• Develop standards and design criteria for generation and energy storage
• Provide technical leadership on interconnection, protection, and control
• Review design plans and coordinate handoffs to teams and partners
• Perform engineering analyses including load, short-circuit, arc flash, and distribution studies
