Job summary

Vantage Data Centers is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to own electrical engineering for new age data center designs, aligning with the global product platform. You will govern standards, reference designs, and guidance across regions, ensuring consistency while allowing regional adaptation.

You will oversee design governance, cross-discipline decisions, and handover readiness to strengthen future platform iterations through field feedback and commissioning insights.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university
• 10+ years experience in electrical power design and construction
• Data Center or mission-critical experience required
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Excel, Word, AmpCalc, ETAP, PSCAD modeling software
• Travel 15–25% and may increase over time

Responsibilities

• Lead integration of energy storage into data center electrical infrastructure
• Assess on-site generation solutions to support reliability and sustainability goals
• Develop electrical strategies integrating BESS and distributed generation
• Provide leadership on interconnection, protection and control philosophies
• Develop standards and design criteria for generation and energy storage topology
