Job summary

TrulyHired is seeking a high-level educational administrator in Virginia to serve as Principal. The role leads instructional and administrative functions, fostering a collaborative culture to improve student learning and school performance.

The Principal will oversee the development of a strong school-wide vision, manage staff and resources, ensure compliance with policies, and build partnerships with families and community stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Education Administration required.
• Virginia state licensure as a building level principal (Administration and Supervision, PreK-12 endorsement) or equivalent.
• Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills with the school community.

Responsibilities

• Implement and observe all policies as derived from the state and local boards; maintain policy manuals and school handbooks.
• Develop and implement schedules for personnel, classes, and building use to support student achievement.
• Manage school funds, materials, equipment, and supplies; report as required to leadership.
• Advise the Superintendent on school needs including personnel, programs, and facilities.
• Provide supervision and evaluation of staff; delegate duties and responsibilities accordingly.
• Collaborate with central office staff on school needs, program implementation, and evaluation.
• Monitor federal programs (e.g., special education, ESL) for compliance with mandates.
• Lead professional development to enhance student learning.
• Ensure a safe, productive school environment and effective communication with parents and community.
