TrulyHired is seeking an Assistant Principal to serve under the Principal, providing instructional leadership and managing daily school operations in Culpeper County. The role emphasizes safe, inclusive environments, discipline management, and curriculum implementation to improve student progress.

The candidate will supervise staff, coordinate RTI/IEP processes, and collaborate with families and the community to support accreditation and continuous improvement across divisions.

Competenze

• Master's Degree in Educational Administration and/or Supervision from an accredited institution; school leadership licensing program.
• Three (3) years' successful experience as a teacher.
• Or equivalent training, education, and/or experience.

Mansioni

• Serve as principal of the school in absence of the principal.
• Supervise adults daily and through the observation process; meet with teachers regarding observations.
• Assist in developing and maintaining a program for evaluating and improving instruction to boost student progress including special populations.
• Help manage students with Tier 2 and Tier 3 behavior plans.
• Coordinate RTI meetings for struggling students.
• Attend IEP and Eligibility meetings for special education students.
• Investigate bus discipline referrals and ensure compliance with county protocols.
• Assist in developing a school-wide philosophy aligned with community values.
• Assist in multi-year school support plan development per VDOE guidelines.
• Develop staff expectations for student treatment and monitor compliance.
• Communicate openly with students, parents, community, staff, and administration.
• Assist in implementing division curriculum and programs.
• Foster an atmosphere of respect, interest, and enthusiasm.
• Dress professionally to command respect from parents, teachers, and students.
• Assist in supervising student welfare during school hours, trips, and activities.
• Maintain programs for discipline, attendance, and academic progress; monitor records and follow-up procedures.
• Notify parents and coordinate medical care as needed.
• Assist in staff selection, assignment, and supervision; maintain evaluation procedures.
• Assist in implementing district policies within school operations.
• Collaborate on a teacher mentorship program and onboarding for new educators.
• Maintain school records and manage textbook inventory with Central Office coordination.
• Comply with legal and regulatory requirements; keep facilities safe and well-kept.
• Attend board meetings as required; work with district and school groups.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the principal.
