Job summary

The position requires a Master’s degree, a Virginia Postgraduate Professional license or eligibility, and at least 3 years in K-12 leadership.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution required.
• Three (3) years of successful full-time experience as an assistant principal or other administrator in a K-12 school.
• Valid Virginia Postgraduate Professional licensed with an endorsement in Administration and Supervision (or eligibility).
• One (1) year at the high school level (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Establish a strong culture for student and staff to fuel student success.
• Develop a clear vision and priorities for the School aligned to the SCPS strategic plan.
• Design and monitor goals for instructional programs and student achievement.
• Ensure safe and healthy school environment.
• Supervise curriculum and co-curricular programs to support student development.
• Build partnerships with parents and community to support student goals.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders and maintain records and reports.

Education

Master’s degree (Required)

3 years admin experience

High school administrator licensure (Virginia PGP)

1 year high school experience (Preferred)
