Collins Aerospace in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a Principal Engineer, E&E Engineering to lead the design, development and testing of electrical components and systems for aerospace applications. The role involves coordinating design, fabrication, modification and verification to meet schedules and budgets.

You will perform research, create specifications, and prepare documentation while advancing new products with a focus on reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 8+ years progressive experience as Electrical/E&E Engineer; Master’s +5 years acceptable.
• 5+ years of experience with DO-169 Environmental Qualification.
• 4+ years of experience with Electrical Design; 3+ years with PCB Design; 2+ years in project management.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and facilitate the design, fabrication, modification and evaluation of electronic apparatus, components, or circuitry.
• Research, develop, design and test electrical components, equipment, systems and networks to meet specifications and objectives.
• Prepare engineering sketches of specifications to construct or install equipment and systems.
