Collins Aerospace in Cedar Rapids, IA, is seeking a Principal Engineer, Systems Engineering to lead and coordinate system-level efforts across cabin management, avionics, and related subsystems. You will translate customer requirements into clear system and subsystem specifications, drive design, and oversee testing and integration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or master's degree in a related field with required experience.
• 5+ years capturing and analyzing system-level requirements in aviation cabins or related systems.
• 5+ years experience with avionics or cabin management systems integration and test.
• 5+ years experience developing test cases and procedures for aviation or cabin management.
• 3+ years experience with technical leadership of small teams and/or project management.

Responsibilities

• Support development of new solutions across multiple products (in-flight entertainment systems for business jets and personal aircraft).
• Perform system design requiring coordination across subsystems functional areas and across teams.
• Support integration and testing of complex systems.
• Collaborate with engineers across multiple subsystems.
• Responsible for systems requirements development, design and product testing.
• Capture and analyze customer requirements and break them down into clear system and subsystem requirements.
