Job summary

GE Appliances, a Haier company, is seeking a strategic and hands-on Principal Digital Technology Site Leader to drive the digital transformation of our Decatur, Alabama manufacturing facility. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in IT roles within manufacturing environments.
• 3+ years of experience leading complex projects and managing IT professionals.
• Strong communication skills with leadership staff, team members, and cross-functional teams.
• Expertise in MES system configuration, screen/UI design, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Oracle ERP, including Procurement and data flow design.
• Understanding of networking and cybersecurity principles in industrial/OT settings.
• Experience with project management and data analytics tools (e.g., Jira, Smartsheets, SQL, Tableau, Power BI).
• Proficient in Oracle SQL and comfortable reading code in languages like JavaScript.

Responsibilities

• Drive the execution and support of plant-level Digital Technology strategies.
• Coach, mentor, and grow a high-performing local DT team.
• Forecast local IT budget and manage end-to-end project delivery.
• Partner with operations to optimize core systems including MES and ERP.
• Lead data collection strategies within MES to improve production performance.
• Direct the design and maintenance of edge infrastructure and connected devices.
• Promote AI initiatives to modernize IT and OT manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate across teams to align with manufacturing IT trends.
