Job summary

GE Appliances, a Haier company, seeks a Principal Digital Technology Site Leader for the Decatur, AL plant. You will lead DT strategy, mentor a local team, and manage IT budgets and project delivery to advance our smart factory vision.

Responsibilities include optimizing MES/ERP, OT security, data collection, and edge infrastructure while driving AI initiatives and cross-functional collaboration. Travel ~10% expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of IT experience in manufacturing environments.
• 3+ years of experience leading complex projects and IT teams.
• Strong communication with leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Experience configuring MES/SCADA systems and ERP data flows.

Responsibilities

• Drive the DT strategy to align with enterprise goals and advise plant leadership.
• Coach and grow a high-performing local DT team.
• Forecast the local IT budget and ensure on-time project delivery.
• Partner with operations to optimize MES/ERP, quality, and OT security.
• Lead data collection in MES to improve production performance.
• Design and maintain plant edge devices and OT infrastructure.
• Promote AI initiatives to modernize IT/OT manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate across teams on technology best practices.
