Job summary
GE Appliances, a Haier company, is seeking a Principal Digital Technology Site Leader to drive the digital transformation at our Decatur, Alabama manufacturing facility. You will lead DT strategy, manage a local team, and partner with operations to optimize MES/ERP, OT security, and data analytics to maximize production performance.
The role requires 7+ years IT experience in manufacturing, 3+ years leading projects, and strong communication with leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, IT, engineering, or related field.
- 7+ years of IT experience in manufacturing environments.
- 3+ years leading complex IT projects and teams.
- Strong communication with leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Expertise in MES configuration, UI design, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Oracle ERP procurement and data flow design.
- Understanding of industrial OT security and networking.
- Experience with Jira, Smartsheets, SQL, Tableau, and Power BI.
- Proficient in Oracle SQL and reading JavaScript.
Responsibilities
- Drive plant-level Digital Technology strategies aligned with enterprise goals.
- Lead and mentor a local DT team.
- Forecast and manage IT budget and project delivery.
- Partner with operations to optimize MES and ERP systems.
- Lead data collection for MES to improve production performance.
- Oversee edge technology, OT/IT infrastructure and security.
- Promote AI initiatives to modernize manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate across teams to adopt best practices.
