Job summary

GE Appliances, a Haier company, seeks a Principal Digital Technology Site Leader to drive digital transformation at the Decatur, Alabama facility. You will lead DT strategies, mentor a local team, manage budgets, and partner with operations to optimize core systems including MES/ERP and OT security.

The role requires 7+ years in manufacturing IT, 3+ years leading complex projects, strong communication, and experience with Proficy Cimplicity and Oracle ERP. Travel ~10% expected.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of IT experience in manufacturing environments.
• 3+ years of leading complex IT projects and teams.
• Strong communication with leadership and cross-functional groups.
• Expertise configuring MES systems and screen/UI design.
• Experience with Oracle ERP, procurement, and data flow design.
• Understanding of networking and industrial cybersecurity.
• Proficiency with Office, Jira, Smartsheets, SQL, Tableau, Power BI.
• Proficient in Oracle SQL and reading code (JavaScript).
• Willingness to travel up to ~10% and flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Strategically lead DT initiatives aligned with enterprise goals.
• Coach and grow a local DT team, advising plant leadership.
• Forecast IT budgets and manage end-to-end project delivery.
• Partner with operations to optimize MES/ERP and OT security.
• Drive data collection in MES to boost production performance.
• Direct design, configuration, and maintenance of plant IT/OT infra.
• Promote AI initiatives to modernize manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate across teams to implement tech best practices.
