Job summary

GE Appliances, a Haier company, is seeking a Sr Site Leader - Digital Technology for its Camden, SC manufacturing site. You will lead strategic DT initiatives, define budgets, manage projects, and drive AI-enabled modernization of IT and OT, bridging automation, MES, ERP and edge infrastructure to improve production performance.

You will collaborate with plant leaders, controls engineers, and DT teams to ensure secure, scalable digital solutions and data-driven decision making across the plant.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in IT roles within manufacturing environments.
• 3+ years of experience leading complex projects and managing IT professionals.
• Strong communication skills with leadership staff, team members, and cross-functional teams.
• Expertise in MES system configuration, screen/UI design, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Oracle ERP, including Procurement and integration/data flow design.
• Understanding of networking and cybersecurity principles in industrial/OT settings.
• Experience with project and data analytics tools (Office suite, Jira, Smartsheets, SQL, Tableau, Power BI).
• Proficient in Oracle SQL and comfortable reading code in languages like JavaScript.
• Ability to work on-site in Camden, SC, with flexibility to support production escalations when necessary; occasional travel (~5%).

Responsibilities

• Drive the execution of DT strategies aligned with enterprise goals, advising plant leadership on Master Plans and deliverables.
• Forecast local IT budget and manage end-to-end project delivery, resource allocation, asset management.
• Promote, encourage, and lead AI initiatives to modernize IT and OT manufacturing processes.
• Partner with operations to optimize core systems, including MES (Proficy Cimplicity), ERP (Oracle), quality management, and OT security solutions.
• Lead data collection strategies within MES platforms to streamline processes and maximize production performance.
• Direct the design, configuration, and maintenance of plant edge devices and infrastructure.
• Coordinate cross-functional collaboration to establish technology best practices and align with manufacturing IT trends.
• Coordinate day-to-day site DT needs with managed services to maintain high system availability.
