Job summary

Analog Devices, Inc. in Beaverton, OR or Colorado Springs, CO seeks a Principal Engineer to lead digital IC design and architecture for OpenGMSL automotive connectivity.

You will architect high‑speed SerDes blocks, drive new technologies, and supervise RTL/verification while mentoring a team. You will collaborate across analog, digital, verification, test, and product teams to define requirements and ensure successful product execution, with a strong track record in delivering complex

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with 7+ years of relevant experience or PhD with 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience designing and verifying complex digital systems using Verilog/SystemVerilog.
• Ability to architect and plan designs at the system level translating concepts into robust implementations.
• Clear written and verbal communication with proactive problem-solving and team collaboration.
• Understanding of high‑speed SerDes transceiver architectures and video/data transport.
• Knowledge of timing analysis, power estimation, physical design, and DFT concepts.
• Hands-on silicon bring-up and debug experience; proven track record of delivering products.

Responsibilities

• Architect and design digital blocks and subsystems of complex high‑speed SerDes ICs.
• Drive evolution of OpenGMSL technology with new architectures and standards.
• Write detailed specifications for design and implementation.
• Use RTL (Verilog/SystemVerilog) to implement designs.
• Develop and integrate block‑level testbenches and verify functionality.
• Assist with synthesis constraints, timing closure, and power analysis.
• Collaborate with analog, digital, verification, test, and product teams.
• Lead technical reviews and provide engineering leadership.
