Job summary

QTS is seeking a Principal DCIM-Delivery Engineer to lead design authority for our data center infrastructure management platforms. You will drive enterprise-wide controls, alarming strategies and integration models across the data center portfolio to ensure reliability and scalability.

You will mentor regional engineers and partner teams, define system requirements for Aveva System Platform and Ignition, review sequences and P&ID diagrams, and guide QA/QC through deployment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Automation, or equivalent.
• 10+ years of control systems experience in mission-critical environments (data centers).
• Expert-level knowledge of EPMS, BMS, and SCADA platforms.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% and work across time zones.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of the DCIM Basis of Design and owner requirements.
• Onboard AEOR Controls teams and Design System Integrators; conduct reviews.
• Direct design consultants on architecture, instrumentation, alarming, and integration.
• Develop enterprise-wide controls and alarming standards across BMS/EPMS/SCADA.
• Define requirements for Aveva System Platform, Ignition, and open I/O frameworks.
• Review operations sequences, architecture, and P&ID diagrams.
• Establish naming conventions, alarming logic, data trends and DCIM schemas.
• Oversee QA/QC during design, deployment and commissioning.
• Drive digital twin and simulation to validate controls logic pre-deployment.
• Support procurement with SOWs, RFPs and vendor onboarding.
• Serve as escalation point for DCIM issues.
• Influence control panel layouts, I/O wiring, interlocks and schedules.
• Collaborate with ME, EE, IT and construction teams on goals.
• Manage change requests, RFIs and DCIM documentation updates.
• Contribute to alarm optimization via FMEA.
