Job summary

QTS Data Centers is seeking a DCIM Engineer II to manage Electric Power Monitoring Systems and Building Management Systems across our data center portfolio. The role involves system administration, engineering strategy and collaboration with project teams to optimize performance.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience with DCIM, EPMS, and BMS, along with a strong engineering background and the ability to work on-site at multiple facilities. Occasional travel and on-call duties are required.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience with critical monitoring and control systems in data center environments.
• Experience with DCIM, EPMS and BMS systems is required.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% and ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Ensure DCIM systems operate as designed to protect the data center and provide timely alarms and reports.
• Configure DCIM applications for new deployments and data requirements.
• Maintain support documentation, test plans and change management records.
• Administer power provisioning, incident management, and reporting processes for sites.
• Coordinate field work and supervise contractors as needed.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers and on-site staff on data center projects.
• Assist in testing and commissioning of facility systems and perform on-call duties.
