Job summary

QTS Data Centers is seeking a DCIM Engineer II to manage Electric Power Monitoring Systems and Building Management Systems across data centers. You will lead strategy, design, and implementation of DCIM platforms, support construction upgrades, and provide system administration for EPMS/BMS/SCADA.

The role requires critical‑facility experience and the ability to think strategically to align with business goals.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or related field; professional experience considered.
• Minimum five years of experience with critical monitoring and control systems in data center or critical facilities.
• Working knowledge of BMS/EPMS systems and data center operations.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% and ability to lift 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Ensure DCIM systems operate as designed, capture power usage, calculate available capacity, and provide alarms and reports.
• Configure DCIM applications for new deployments and retrofits.
• Maintain DCIM documentation, test plans, and change records.
• Implement policies and standards to maximize performance of systems and networks.
• Administer power provisioning, incident management, and site reporting processes.
• Coordinate field work and supervise contractors as needed.
• Work independently with analytical and troubleshooting skills on day-to-day operations.
• Collaborate with maintenance, project managers, engineers and contractors on site projects.
• Perform inspections and assist in testing/commissioning of facility systems.
