Oracle is seeking a Principal Core Infrastructure Engineer in Nashville to lead design and evolution of distributed systems for OCI. You will set technical direction for reliability, security, and operational readiness, ensuring high availability and scalability.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in large-scale distributed systems, with deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure and proficiency in Java, C++, C#, or Go. Onsite role with relocation support possible for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software-engineering experience in large-scale distributed systems or cloud infrastructure.
• Strong experience designing highly available, scalable distributed systems.
• Proficiency in one or more OO languages such as Java, C++, C#, or Go.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and evolution of core distributed systems and data-plane services at hyperscale.
• Define scalability, elasticity, durability, and availability requirements for owned components.
• Operate and optimize high-throughput data paths for retrieval, storage, and processing.
