Job summary
Oracle is seeking a Principal Core Infrastructure Software Engineer in Nashville to lead the design and operation of AI-powered cloud infrastructure on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). You will translate product goals into durable technical strategy, lead multi-team execution, and remain hands-on in design, code, reviews, and operations.

Qualifications
- Six to ten+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Deep experience designing, building, and operating high‑scale distributed systems, cloud services, or AI/ML platforms.
- Strong programming skills in Java, Golang or Python and production code delivery.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, cloud-native infra, service-to-service communication and observability.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of scalable distributed systems to meet demand.
- Design and deliver agentic AI systems with reasoning, planning, tool use, and workflow execution.
- Define SLIs/SLOs and incident response practices for AI/cloud services.
- Establish telemetry, dashboards, and alerts to monitor health and performance.
- Mentor engineers, review designs, and guide technical decisions across teams.
- Own production operations including incident response and recovery.
