Job summary

The Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Core Infrastructure Engineer 2 role is based at the Nashville campus in TN. This full-time position requires 3-5+ years of experience in building and operating distributed systems and cloud services.

You will design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software for databases, applications and tools, and you will mentor teammates while driving reliable, scalable solutions in a multi-tenant environment. Relocation not offered, on-site work only.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building and operating end-to-end systems and services.
• Experience driving security, documentation, and UX reviews; partnering with Product Managers during the launch lifecycle.
• Experience developing service-oriented architectures (SOA) and RESTful web services.
• Strong expertise in Java, J2EE, and object-oriented programming principles.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software for databases, applications, tools and networks.
• Define and evolve standard practices for software engineering within OCI.
• Mentor teammates and lead projects to improve reliability, scale and performance.
• Work on highly available, distributed services with emphasis on data travel and compliance.
