Job summary

JCW Group in Denver, Colorado, is seeking a Principal Control Systems Engineer for a contract engagement. The role focuses on leading design and evaluation of plant control and instrumentation systems across municipal, industrial, and power generation projects.

You will act as primary technical liaison with clients, sign and seal control system plans, and contribute to proposals, scoping, and fee estimates for new projects, leveraging deep expertise in DCS/PLC, HMI/SCADA, and relevant standards.

Qualifications

• 12+ years progressive experience in control systems engineering.
• Extensive DCS/PLC design, implementation, and commissioning; knowledge of HMI/SCADA and ISA, IEC, NFPA, NEC.
• ABET-accredited BSEE; active PE license required.

Required Experience

• 12+ years of progressive experience in control systems engineering, including leading complex projects from concept through commissioning
• Extensive DCS and PLC design, implementation, and commissioning experience, with working knowledge of HMI/SCADA and ISA, IEC, NFPA, and NEC standards
• BSEE from an ABET accredited university; active PE license required
