Job summary

Automationtechies in Illinois seeks a proficient Controls Engineer to lead control system projects from inception to completion. You will design, build, commission, and deliver fully functional systems, program PLCs and HMI/SCADA, and collaborate with customers on requirements.

Candidates should have strong communication, ability to write specs, and enjoy solving complex debugging tasks. Relational databases and programming experience are a plus; travel to customer sites may be required.

Job description

We are seeking a proficient Controls Engineer with a comprehensive understanding of control systems to manage projects from inception to completion. This role involves customer collaboration, contribution to project quotations, system design, programming, and overseeing the entire project life cycle. Proficiency in PLC programming and HMI/SCADA programming is crucial, with additional expertise in relational databases and computer programming considered a valuable asset.

Key Responsibilities:
