Job summary

Cloudflare is seeking a Principal Content Engineer for the Developer Platform. You will translate product reality and industry trends into content that developers read, build from, and return to.

You’ll personally write and build flagship pieces, including deep tutorials, runnable sample apps, reference architectures, and narratives shaping the learning platform. This hands-on, high-ownership role blends writing, engineering, and systems building.

Qualifications

• 12+ years at the intersection of technical content, developer education, and software engineering.
• Exceptional technical writing and editing: high quality standardization across a large body of work.
• Real engineering depth with production tooling and serverless/edge platforms (Cloudflare Workers is a strong plus).
• Experience building automated content systems, pipelines, CI checks, freshness/validation tooling, and AI-assisted review.

Responsibilities

• Own the content architecture for Developer GTM across tutorials, blogs, samples, newsletters, and education content.
• Build and scale self-healing pipelines and AI-assisted review into content workflows.
• Write and build flagship content including tutorials, reference architectures, and runnable demos.
• Drive developer acquisition and activation by mapping content to the journey and measuring outcomes.
• Lead AI-native content tooling and guardrails for AI agents and LLMs.
• Identify emerging developer behaviors and translate them into narratives and content strategies.
• Establish conventions and tooling so content stays accurate and consistent; mentor teammates.
