Job summary

Cephas Consultancy Services Private Limited in Houston, TX seeks a Principal Compensation Consultant to lead large-scale compensation projects, coach teams, and drive client engagements. You will design pay strategies, work with senior HR leaders, and help expand business through cross-selling, all within a hybrid work setup three days in-office per week.

The role requires deep compensation expertise, strong leadership, and a collaborative mindset to deliver client value and grow the practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Finance, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in compensation consulting.
• Proven ability to manage multiple large-scale projects and complex client engagements.
• Deep knowledge of compensation strategy, incentive plan design, market analysis methodologies, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong client relationship management skills with experience advising senior executives.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Structure, direct, review, and interpret analyses performed by project teams.
• Develop compensation strategies, philosophies, and programs that address clients' attraction and retention needs.
• Provide consulting services to senior management on compensation issues including pay strategy, job architecture design, and digital activation of these designs.
• Thrive in an environment that embraces AI and technology-enabled tools.
• Manage day-to-day client interactions, building and maintaining strong relationships.
• Provide guidance and oversight to junior team members, supporting their development and ensuring quality deliverables.
• Generate revenue by developing new client relationships, extending existing engagements, and identifying cross-selling opportunities.
