Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in Deer Valley, Arizona is seeking a Sr. Advanced Project Engineer – Avionics Systems to lead and manage engineering projects across the CNS domain, defining scope, objectives and deliverables with cross-functional teams.

You will develop project plans with timelines and budgets, track progress using Earned Value Management (EVM) metrics, and drive risk management, baseline changes and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
• Minimum 6 years of related experience in project engineering or program management.
• Experience developing avionics or software products for the Aerospace market.

Responsibilities

• Lead proposals, statements of work and associated cost estimates.
• Serve as technical point of contact for customers and the program manager.
• Define and implement project scope, objectives, deliverables, prepare schedules and resource forecasting in Microsoft project.
• Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to timelines and budgets using Earned Value Management (EVM) metrics.
• Lead a robust risk management process to identify and mitigate risks and issues that may impact project delivery.
• Contain scope growth through robust baseline change management.
• Coordinate and communicate with stakeholders to provide project updates and address concerns.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project management processes and practices.
