Job summary

Palo Alto Networks is seeking a Principal Security Architect to serve as the technical authority for our multi-cloud security strategy. You will define the architectural North Star for cloud-native platforms, drive threat modeling, and partner with engineering leadership to embed security deeply in next-generation products.

You will lead complex security initiatives across GCP, AWS, Azure, and OCI, mentoring engineers and guiding product teams on secure-by-design practices and Zero Trust

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in security engineering and/or security architecture.
• 4+ years in a Principal or Lead capacity.
• Hands-on architectural experience in a major public cloud (GCP/AWS/Azure/OCI/SAP) with knowledge of others.
• Security-by-Design, Privacy-by-Design, and Zero Trust principles.
• Experience with threat modeling (STRIDE/PASTA/DREAD) for microservices/serverless.
• Scripting (Python or Go) and securing CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain authoritative security architecture patterns across multi-clouds (GCP, AWS, Azure, OCI, SAP).
• Design secure, scalable, resilient systems with Identity management and data protection.
• Drive Zero Trust adoption across development and production SaaS platforms.
• Lead threat modeling sessions for critical features and translate risks into actions.
• Communicate cybersecurity risks to leadership and feed the risk register.
• Advise product teams on security architectures for CWPP, CSPM, and container security.
• Mentor staff and senior engineers to foster engineering excellence and proactive security.
• Lead cross-functional Tiger Teams through complex security implementations.
