Job summary

Palo Alto Networks is seeking a Principal Security Architect to define the architectural North Star for our cloud-native platforms and secure by design. You will drive threat modeling across GCP, AWS, Azure, and OCI, partnering with engineering leadership to embed security deeply within next-generation products.

In this high-impact role, you will mentor staff and senior engineers, lead tiger teams through complex security initiatives, and shape secure, scalable, and resilient cloud architectures

Qualifications

• 5+ years of security engineering and/or security architecture.
• Hands-on architectural expertise in at least one major public cloud provider with strong working knowledge of the others.
• Proven track record executing complex threat models for microservices and serverless architectures.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the authoritative security architecture patterns for services across multi-cloud environments.
• Lead the design of secure, scalable, and resilient systems with Security by Design, IAM, and data protection.
• Drive architectural strategy and implementation of Zero Trust across development and production SaaS platforms.
• Own the organization's threat modeling methodology and facilitate deep-dive sessions for critical features.
• Translate architectural risks into actionable items for the Cybersecurity Risk Register and leadership.
• Serve as SME on security products (CWPP, CSPM, NGFW) and advise product teams.
• Provide high-level technical guidance and mentorship to Staff and Senior security engineers.
• Lead cross-functional Tiger Teams through complex security implementations.
