Job summary

Palo Alto Networks is seeking a Principal Security Architect to lead the multi‑cloud security strategy, defining the North Star for secure-by-design platforms. You will drive threat modeling, guide architectural choices across GCP, AWS, Azure, and OCI, and partner with engineering leadership to embed security deeply in our next‑generation products.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in security engineering and/or security architecture.
• Hands-on architectural expertise with at least one major cloud provider (GCP/AWS/Azure/OCI/SAP).
• Deep knowledge of Secure-by-Design, Privacy-by-Design, and Zero Trust principles.
• Proven threat modeling experience for microservices and serverless architectures.
• Proficient in Python or Go; securing CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain security architecture patterns across multi‑cloud environments.
• Lead security design with emphasis on Zero Trust, IAM, and data protection.
• Drive threat modeling and translate risks into actionable items for leadership.
• Mentor staff and senior security engineers; lead cross-functional security initiatives.
• Coordinate across Dev, Product Engineering, and InfoSec teams during complex implementations.
