Job summary

Wizards of the Coast in Renton, WA is seeking a Principal Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to define governance and automation for our cloud platforms, enabling self-service, secure, and cost-conscious delivery across teams.

You will shape policy-as-code standards, build guardrails with OPA and AWS Config, and drive Terraform/Pulumi IaC at scale, partnering with security, FinOps, and DevOps to accelerate reliable engineering.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of cloud engineering experience.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP across multiple platforms.
• Hands-on IaC with Terraform or Pulumi at scale.
• Experience implementing policy-as-code and governance.
• Knowledge of cloud cost management and FinOps.
• Familiarity with CI/CD platforms and observability tools.
• Exposure to applying AI tooling to infrastructure problems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define and enforce policy-as-code standards across cloud accounts.
• Establish guardrails and drift detection with tools like OPA, Sentinel, AWS Config/SCP.
• Automate provisioning, drift remediation, and lifecycle management with self-service pathways.
• Develop golden paths for infrastructure provisioning and developer platform tooling.
