Job summary

Black & Veatch seeks a Principal Cloud Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and operation of enterprise cloud environments across Azure, AWS, OCI, and hybrid setups.

You will partner with architecture, cybersecurity, and operations teams to deliver secure, scalable cloud solutions, set standards, and guide modernization efforts. Hybrid work options are available after onboarding, with a strong focus on governance and cost optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 10+ years in infrastructure/cloud engineering.
• 5+ years designing and operating enterprise cloud environments.
• Deep expertise with Azure and/or AWS.
• Experience with Terraform and container platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support secure, scalable cloud solutions across Azure, AWS, and OCI.
• Establish IaC standards and automation to improve efficiency and governance.
• Partner with cybersecurity to align cloud security with policies and compliance.
• Improve cloud reliability, observability, and incident response.
• Provide technical leadership and influence cloud strategy and roadmaps.
