The Cloud and Connectivity organization is actively seeking multiple Cloud Platform Engineers to enable our Cloud operations model. If you enjoy solving challenges and impacting large-scale systems, and want to influence global public and private cloud infrastructure through AI and Automation, we encourage you to apply.

What You’ll Be Doing:

You will work within our Infrastructure Hosting Platform, managing the global technical operations of cloud computing capabilities at Lilly. You will collaborate on strategies for cloud services offered by the Hosting and Cloud Services team, ensuring reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of our cloud offerings. You will also have opportunities to work with the latest public cloud IaaS services and enhance our cloud infrastructure services to improve availability and reliability through innovative architectural designs and observability enhancements.

What You Should Bring:
  • Cloud Platform Proficiency: Deep expertise in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including architecture and deployment best practices.
  • Automation and Scripting: Skills in Python, Bash, PowerShell, Ansible, and infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • AI/ML Integration: Knowledge of AI/ML frameworks, deployment, and MLOps practices.
  • Security and Compliance: Understanding of cloud security principles and compliance standards.
  • DevOps Practices: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
  • Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and optimize cloud infrastructure.
  • Technical Leadership: Support for enterprise-grade solutions and deployment leadership across global locations.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field
  • 7+ years in infrastructure management, including 3+ years in cloud infrastructure, focusing on multi-cloud environments
  • Experience leading and managing global large-scale infrastructure services
Additional Information:
  • Hybrid role based in Indianapolis, IN (relocation required), with a minimum of 3 days in the office
  • Expected US business hours with after-hours support for evenings and weekends
  • Less than 10% travel
