Job Description OVERVIEW

As a Distinguished Principal Platform Architect, you will drive enterprise-wide technical vision and strategy through your architectural expertise and executive partnerships across the Developer & Employee Experience organization. You will architect, evangelize, and orchestrate implementation of the Internal Developer Platform ecosystem, enabling transformative operational excellence for the client, their trading partners, and provider networks through advanced Digital.ai solutions and sophisticated networking architectures.

• Duration: 6 months contract to hire
• Location: Remote, but must reside in California, Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, Oregon, or Washington. Preference for West Coast. Working hours will be PST.
• Rate: $90/hr - $100/hr DOE

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Establish and champion cloud-architectural patterns and governance frameworks across the enterprise, ensuring architectural integrity and adoption by cross-functional IT delivery teams while embracing platform engineering as a methodology for managing DevSecOps workflows at scale.
• Architect, design, and oversee implementation of a provider-agnostic Cloud Enablement Developer Platform, leading the technical vision to achieve future-state goals while ensuring operational resilience.
• Spearhead the integration of Digital.ai's AI-powered DevOps platform capabilities, leveraging its predictive analytics and insights across the entire software development and delivery lifecycle to enhance business value and make smarter software investments.
• Orchestrate complex network topology integration, including hybrid cloud connectivity, secure service meshes, and zero-trust network architectures to support distributed development environments.
• Design sophisticated platform implementations that utilize Digital.ai Intelligence data lakes to apply predictive machine learning algorithms to data collected across hybrid application development environments.
• Define and drive GitOps maturity across the enterprise, establishing reference architectures that accelerate capabilities and practices for the product organization and partner teams.
• Design and architect Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions with Ansible to orchestrate Azure cloud environments, including virtual machines, sophisticated networking systems, storage architectures, and containerized services.
• Author enterprise reference architectures and technical vision documents with detailed system diagrams that shape platform direction and establish architectural guardrails.
• Collaborate with executive stakeholders to translate business imperatives into technical strategies, influencing leadership across multiple business domains.
• Lead the architectural vision for enterprise DevOps solutions that provide end-to-end visibility up and down the software development lifecycle, incorporating capabilities to plan, develop, secure, test, release, deploy, and measure across the entire software development lifecycle.
• Establish architectural oversight to ensure compliance with enterprise security frameworks and regulatory standards, safeguarding company data and assets.
• Identify disruptive technological opportunities and strategic platform use cases, driving business development initiatives through innovative architectural approaches.
• Demonstrate exceptional systems thinking and architectural problem-solving abilities in complex regulated environments.
• Partner with C-suite executives to establish strategic technical roadmaps and architectural objectives.
• Establish and lead a platform architecture community of practice with diverse stakeholders across the organization.
• Communicate architectural decisions, value propositions, risk mitigation strategies, and roadmap progress to executive leadership.
• Operate with strategic autonomy, exercising extensive authority in determining technical direction and architectural standards.
• Apply comprehensive knowledge of emerging enterprise IT architectures, Digital.ai platform capabilities, and healthcare industry transformations.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
• 10+ years of demonstrated expertise as a principal technical architect leading enterprise platform initiatives.
• Extensive experience architecting cloud migrations in heavily regulated, enterprise-scale environments.
• Deep architectural expertise with Ansible for Azure cloud orchestration, including complex networking topologies and software-defined networking.
• Proven experience architecting and implementing Digital.ai platform solutions, including its AI-powered capabilities for automating collection, modeling, and analysis of data across development, operations, and business domains.
• Advanced proficiency in multiple programming paradigms (Python, C#, Java, Jython) with emphasis on architectural patterns and practices.
• Comprehensive architectural knowledge of multi-cloud environments, with particular depth in Microsoft Azure and AWS.
• Current AZ-400, AZ-305 (Azure Solutions Architect), and AZ-900 certifications or equivalent architectural expertise.
• Current RedHat DO-467 Certification or equivalent architectural knowledge.
• Deep architectural expertise with Kubernetes and container orchestration platforms.
• Advanced cloud architecture certifications strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership within enterprise-scale agile development environments.
• Proven ability to architect and orchestrate distributed networking and infrastructure solutions across complex environments.
