Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Principal, Business Development to drive growth in the Maritime Sector, focusing on autonomous undersea vehicles and submarine communications opportunities in the Camden, NJ or Washington DC areas.

The role requires deep DoW/Navy program knowledge, strong capture and proposal leadership, and the ability to build relationships with U.S. and international defense customers. Travel up to 25–30% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher with 12+ years of related experience.
• Active US Secret Clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI.
• Experience in defense systems and Navy programs.

Responsibilities

• Develop growth strategies to increase orders, bookings, and captures.
• Build and maintain relationships with DoD customers to drive opportunities.
• Lead capture activities across full lifecycle: identification, qualification, pursuit, proposal, and award.
• Provide market intelligence and competitive analysis to inform strategy.
• Lead cross-functional teams to develop compliant, winning proposals.
• Present opportunity reviews and capture updates to senior leadership.
