Priority Commerce is seeking a Principal Software Engineer for the Billing workstream. You will shape long‑term technical strategy, drive architecture across billing systems, and partner with senior staff to enhance reliability and AI‑forward capabilities.

You will own the ADRs, participate in ARB, and set observability and onboarding standards across the workstream, ensuring scalable, secure financial capabilities for enterprise clients.

Qualifications

• 15–20+ years of engineering experience
• Experience in Payments or Banking domain preferred
• Hands‑on credibility and strong work ethic
• Experience leading multi‑team architecture direction
• Architecture ADRs and Architecture Review Board participation

Responsibilities

• Design, build, review, and operate critical billing systems.
• Own the area's architecture roadmap and ADRs.
• Lead ARB discussions and ensure enterprise alignment.
• Define observability, SRE practices, and reliability targets.
• Champion AI-native transformation across the lifecycle.
• Grow engineers and mentor mid‑level to senior engineers
