Job summary

The Consensus is looking for a Software Engineer to manage critical pricing, billing, and revenue infrastructure. You will oversee the entire billing lifecycle, ensuring operational excellence while collaborating closely with Finance, Sales, and engineering teams.

Your responsibilities include building a robust billing platform and systems that evolve with the business while effectively debugging production issues. The role also offers competitive compensation, medical coverage, and a flexible PTO policy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience with billing systems or building internal tools.
• Deep knowledge of the web stack & databases.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own Baseten’s end-to-end billing and revenue infrastructure.
• Build and evolve the billing platform ensuring auditability and correctness.
• Partner with Finance and Sales teams to create reliable internal tooling.
• Design scalable systems for new products and go-to-market strategies.
• Drive reliability for revenue-critical workflows with monitoring and incident response.
• Lead high-impact projects with clarity on requirements and quality.
