Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Principal, Business Development Army to lead growth for Tactical Data Links and related RF systems. You will identify mission needs, shape technology solutions, and translate them into funded programs with DoD and coalition partners.

Operating at the intersection of engineering, product management, and business development, you will build strategic relationships, define roadmaps, and drive capture strategies to create new opportunities and sustainable revenue

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Business, or related technical discipline.
• 12 years of experience in aerospace, defense, tactical communications, networking, or mission systems; 16 years if no degree.
• Experience in Business Development, Strategy, Engineering, Product Management, Capture Management, or Program Management.
• Experience with U.S. DoD acquisition organizations.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute long-range growth strategies for TDL and T&RF portfolios.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with DoD, coalition, and industry stakeholders.
• Identify emerging mission needs and capability gaps to drive new concepts and opportunities.
• Partner with Engineering and Product Management to define product roadmaps and investments.
• Serve as the technical BD lead for TDL and T&RF technologies (Link 16, MIDS, resilient comms).
• Lead assessments of new opportunities evaluating value, feasibility, and revenue potential.
• Develop business cases and capture strategies from concept to funded programs.
• Shape acquisition and funding strategies (Programs of Record, OTAs, SBIR, FMS, etc.).
• Maintain market, budget, competitive, and tech intelligence for executive decisions.
