Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Carlsbad, CA seeks a Lead, Electrical Engineering for Tactical Data Links. This on-site role leads hardware development, guides cross-functional teams, and ensures transition to production under strict program controls.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s Degree with 9+ years of related experience and an active U.S. security clearance. Extensive travel may be required to support programs and customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years prior related experience.
• Active U.S. security clearance.
• Preferred: experience designing high-reliability electronic radio products and FPGA development.

Responsibilities

• Act as lead hardware engineer on new development and sustaining efforts to meet specifications.
• Apply configuration management to design documents and data packages.
• Lead technical, schedule, and cost performance for Hardware Engineering projects including reviews and approvals.
• Participate in and/or lead failure investigations related to design and production.
• Grow cross-functional relationships to aid new business pursuits and sector objectives.
• Collaborate with Leadership, Business Development and Program Management to align strategy and execution.
• Work with Operations to transition designs to production; travel 5–10%.
