Job summary

Fetch is seeking a Principal Backend Engineer to define and evolve the architecture behind our high‑throughput ad platform. You’ll design scalable systems, balance latency, consistency, and reliability, and own long‑term engineering strategy across Ads and Platform teams.

You’ll lead technical direction, mentor engineers, and stay hands‑on while guiding cross‑org initiatives that unlock large productivity gains. This role can be remote in the United States.

Qualifications

• Significant experience designing and operating large-scale distributed backend systems.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, caching, and concurrency.
• Experience with microservices, APIs, and high-volume data processing.
