Job summary

Intuit is hiring a Distinguished Engineer to own the technical vision for its data substrate and semantic data infrastructure. You’ll drive architecture from lakehouse to knowledge graphs, aligning with AI ambitions across consumer and business units. This role emphasizes leadership and hands-on contribution.

You will mentor senior engineers, set standards, and spearhead cross-team initiatives to ensure scalable, compliant data systems and effective AI data-enabled experiences.

Qualifications

• 15+ years building large-scale data platforms.
• Experience with modern data stack, streaming and lakehouse designs.
• Designing semantic/knowledge layers and retrieval systems.
• Track record as a senior technical leader (Distinguished Engineer/Equiv).
• Understanding GDPR/CCPA and governance translated to architecture.
• Experience with AI/LLM data foundations and agentic workloads.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to influence executives.

Responsibilities

• Define and evangelize the multi-year technical strategy for data platform and semantic infra.
• Architect next-gen data substrate: ingestion, lakehouse, quality, and privacy controls.
• Design semantic layer with canonical entities, metrics, ontologies, and knowledge graphs.
• Resolve cross-cutting technical problems crossing teams and domains.
• Set standards, reference architectures, and run architecture reviews.
• Partner with product, design, data science, privacy, and engineering leadership.
• Mentor Staff/Principal engineers and contribute to the engineering career ladder.
• Identify future risks and drive roadmaps to scale with regulation and AI workloads.
