The Role:

A Presidio Principal Architect for Data Modernization, Analytics, and Visualization leads presales discovery, analysis, architecture design, and proposal development of solutions aligned with customer outcomes and requirements through direct client engagement. The Principal Architect effectively leverages presales methodologies, technical expertise, key relationships (with clients, internal stakeholders, and vendor partners), and contextual analysis (industry, customer, technical, sales) to recommend solutions that deliver long-term value.

This is a remote position and may involve up to 30% travel.

Responsibilities include:

1. Drive Digital Services Sales: Collaborate with sales teams to formulate and execute a technical sales strategy to surpass revenue goals by promoting Presidio Digital services for data estates, modernization, platforms, analytics, and visualization.
2. Understand Customer Current State: Proactively discover and understand the customer's IT landscape, goals, outcomes, and initiatives across various facets. Conduct industry research, develop discovery approaches, lead workshops, and document the current state to inform future architectures and roadmaps.
3. Technical Opportunity Leadership: Lead opportunities in data estates, modernization, platforms, analytics, and visualization to secure technical wins. Identify stakeholders, their success criteria, and needs. Develop solution approaches, coordinate resources, and engage with client leadership.
4. Practice Delivery Engagement: Act as a liaison among customers, sales, and delivery teams to ensure success. Collaborate with engineering teams on solution quality and staffing for proposals.
5. Solution Architecture, Design, and Documentation: Assess client requirements, determine target services, and create compelling technical proposals with diagrams and analyses.
6. Technical Excellence & Evangelism: Maintain high technical standards, lead knowledge sharing, participate in technical communities, pursue certifications, and stay abreast of emerging topics.
7. Account Leadership: Engage in account planning, executive briefings, and social events to establish trust and leadership presence.
8. Team Engagement and Culture: Promote a positive, inclusive team environment aligned with Presidio values: Excellence, Forward-Thinking, Accountability, One Presidio.
9. Partner Relationships: Build relationships with vendor teams, especially those specializing in modern data platforms and cloud solutions, and contribute to partner GTM strategies.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years in architecture, design, implementation, or consulting in data modernization and analytics.
• 3+ years domain experience with Databricks, Snowflake, or Microsoft Fabric.
• 5+ years hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Presales experience with curiosity and creativity.
• Experience reviewing or writing statements of work (SOW).
• Comfort leading presentations, demos, and whiteboard sessions.
• Growth mindset, mentorship, and collaboration skills.
• Excellent time management and feedback skills.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Experience with AI, Generative AI, or Low-code/no-code solutions.
• Machine Learning experience.
• Certifications in AWS, Azure, or Google solutions.
• Experience with modern application architectures like microservices and event-driven designs.
• Background in software engineering or coding.
• Ability to prepare RFP/RFI responses and proposals.
• Comfort leading executive-level presentations and demos.
